The "Barn" Operations Building

Roncelli is constructing the new Operations Building at The BARN DataCenter in Saline Township, Michigan, supporting Walbridge as ConstructionManager and Oracle / Related Digital as the end-user/owner.

The 40,545-square-foot, one-story facility will support operations andfacility maintenance for the entire Saline Data Center site. The building isbeing constructed as a conventionally framed steel structure with a metal panelexterior, curtain wall windows, and a membrane roof system.

Inside, the Operations Building will include a main entrance lobby, openand private offices, conference rooms, break rooms, and a fitness center. Thesespaces are designed to support the people responsible for managing,maintaining, and operating the larger data center campus.

While the data center buildings serve the site’s core technology needs, this facility provides the workplace and operational support space needed to keep the Data Center operation running efficiently. Through this work, Roncelli’s teams are helping deliver an important support building for a mission-critical environment.
