Brose Facility Expansion

Roncelli was hired by Brose to deliver a 190,000-square-foot facility expansion and renovation at its New Boston manufacturing campus. The project included a precast-walled expansion to the south side of the existing facility, adding a new logistics area, restrooms, and office space to support ongoing operations.

The expansion also incorporated a high-bay automated storage area constructed over a heavily reinforced, 30-inch-thick super-flat concrete slab, along with expanded fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and process-support infrastructure. Roncelli coordinated closely with the design team, Ghafari, to integrate the addition seamlessly with the existing facility while maintaining operational continuity.

Associated site improvements included reconfiguration and expansion of parking areas, installation of new storm sewer systems, lighting, and retention ponds, and expansion of the existing east-side detention basin to accommodate increased runoff from new hardscape areas. The project demonstrates Roncelli’s ability to manage complex manufacturing expansions involving high-bay construction, specialized floor systems, and extensive site and utility coordination.
