Roncelli Celebrates Completion of DTE’s Cold Creek Solar Park

October 5, 2026

Roncelli joined DTE Energy, Ford Motor Company, and local community leaders to celebrate the completion of Cold Creek Solar Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Branch County. The event brought together project partners and community members to recognize an important milestone for renewable energy in Michigan. Speakers from DTE Energy and the local community shared remarks about the project, its impact on the region, and the collaboration that helped bring the solar park to completion.

Cold Creek Solar Park is the first solar park made possible through Ford’s participation in DTE’s MIGreenPower program. The facility can produce 100 megawatts of clean energy and represents another step toward Ford’s carbon-free electricity goals and DTE’s broader clean-energy objectives. The project spans more than 650 acres and includes extensive solar arrays, inverter stations, collection systems, access infrastructure, and supporting facilities.

As the project’s EPC contractor, Roncelli provided engineering, procurement, and construction services across the site’s civil, structural, and electrical systems, along with site development and commissioning. Our scope included private access roads, pile foundations and racking systems, DC and 34.5 kV AC collection systems, and collector substation work.

The ribbon cutting marked the culmination of a significant team effort and another milestone in Roncelli’s growing renewable energy portfolio as we continue helping deliver the infrastructure supporting Michigan’s energy future.
