Expanding Roncelli's Reach

Expanding Roncelli's Reach

April 10, 2026

For more than 60 years, automotive has been the foundation of Roncelli, with much of our work centered in the Metro Detroit area. That strong local presence continues to shape how we operate, from our relationships with clients to the way we approach each project. While we have long supported core clients beyond Michigan and even internationally, our work outside the state has become a consistent part of our operations in recent years.

Over the past several years, our continued expansion into out-of-state markets has reflected not only our commitment to our clients, but also Roncelli’s ability to deliver the same high level of service and project success beyond our home region. Through these efforts, we have proven our ability to adapt across different states, municipalities, authorities having jurisdiction, and trade markets, all while maintaining our safety culture and meeting demanding schedules and budgets.

Within the past year alone, Roncelli has successfully completed projects in Kansas City, Missouri; Kearny, New Jersey; Memphis, Tennessee; and Stanton, Tennessee. In Kansas City, we delivered our first design-build Air Tempering project for a 4.7 million square foot assembly plant. The success of that project team led directly to the opportunity to competitively bid, and ultimately win, another design-build Air Tempering project in Louisville, Kentucky. At $128 million, it became Roncelli’s largest single award to date.

Our work in Stanton, Tennessee, further highlights the value of our traveling teams. We were initially selected by a client to construct a 1 million square foot logistics facility on an expedited 14-month schedule. The team exceeded expectations by achieving a temporary Certificate of Occupancy two months early. That success led to a second project on an adjacent site, a 15-acre trucking repair facility with concrete-paved tractor and trailer parking. With an established presence in the area, Roncelli was also able to pursue additional opportunities, resulting in approximately $12 million in new work with other clients. As we wrap up this second phase of projects in Stanton, we have also recently been awarded another first-of-its-kind project for Roncelli, a Wastewater Reuse Facility.

These travel opportunities have played a critical role in expanding Roncelli’s project volume and strengthening our presence in new markets. This geographic diversification provides greater long-term stability in a fluctuating construction market and positions Roncelli for continued growth. More importantly, it allows us to showcase our capabilities and our willingness to take on new challenges. We sincerely thank our clients for trusting Roncelli with projects that may not traditionally fall within our core portfolio and for giving us the opportunity to grow, deliver, and continue building what matters.
